Tall Ships at Greenwich 5th September 2014

Kinara members had another great day Greenwich on Friday 5th September. We went up by coach to see the Tall Ships come through. First of all we had a brief stop off at the Peninsular where a few ships could be spotted sailing through.  A few who had not been on the Emirates Cable Car Experience took the time to try out the ride and see the great views from up there.

Irene at the simulator controls

Dick was the co-pilot!

Some of took a boat trip from Greenwich to see the some of the ships at close quarters and then we were all impressed by the beauty of the ships moored at Greenwich or came sailing by.

Some of the traditional barges moored at Greenwich

The Polish boat with an unpronounceable name (I can't spell it either!)
There was plenty to see around the Old Royal Naval College and the Cutty Sark. Some took a well earned rest in the grounds!

Many thanks to Joan Barrett for organising the trip!
