 Message from the Chairman

As you can see from Roger's remarks below, we are busy arranging events for next year! Clearly we are restricted by government guidelines but we WILL be back as soon as possible. Let us know if you have any questions or (constructive) suggestions - we are always willing to listen.

Hope to see you all soon !

Keep Well and Keep Smiling, Richard

Flu Vaccinations for Autumn 2020

FLU VACCINATIONS – SEPTEMBER AND OCTOBER 2020

All eligible patients will be getting letters from the surgery soon. The letter will say:

We notice from your records you may be someone who would benefit from a seasonal influenza vaccination. Due to the Covid19 pandemic our flu clinics will be managed differently this year.

Social distancing guidelines must be followed and all patients attending must wear a face covering.

Where possible, patients should attend alone to limit the number of people in the building.

The surgery car park will be closed to the public on both clinic days.

DO NOT ATTEND IF YOU HAVE ANY COVID SYMPTOMS.

·  If you are 80 years or over, please call the surgery (01732 870212) to arrange a pre-booked appointment.

·  If you are under the age of 80, we are holding walk in clinics at our Kings Hill surgery 8.30am – 1pmon the following dates:

Saturday 19th September 2020

Saturday 10th October 2020

YOU MUST BRING THIS LETTER WITH YOU TO THE CLINIC. WITHOUT A LETTER WE WILL BE UNABLE TO VACCINATE YOU.

On arrival you will be directed to the appropriate queue (outside the building).

Please wear appropriate clothing to facilitate the process – short or no sleeves if possible. Complete the following BEFORE attending the practice:

Height…………………….. Weight…………………………..

Smoking status – Current / Ex/ Never. Please circle as appropriate.

If you do not wish to have a flu vaccination this year, please email us at westmalling@nhs.net or contact the surgery in person so that we can stop further recalls.

In addition, the surgery has advised that to manage queues and social distancing, in the closed car parks there will be posters and marshals directing patients to their appropriate queue.
